I bought this book last week cos been hearing lots about Stephanie Meyer and her Twilight series. But then I didn't really get the Twilight series cos it's more teenager kinda feel and I'm not really into vampire stories nowadays (due to the many vampire movies that I watched whilst in Singapore). So when I saw this book last week and after reading the synopsis behind, it seemed like a good read. Although it was kinda pricey at HKD150+ but the book is quite thick so I suppose that's a reasonable price. Well, I kinda left the book on my bed after I bought it cos have been pretty busy during the weekends. But last night, I decided to flip open the book and started reading since I was bored and had nothing to do. And I really enjoyed the book. I've only read like a quarter of the book but I'm so like kan cheong with how things will work out in the end. The story is about an alien race that invades the Earth. These beings are called Souls and they use humans as their host ie they are placed into human bodies and then start to control and take over the humans. The main focus is on this girl called Melanie who has a Soul called the Wanderer in her. Wanderer tries to probe Melanie's mind to find out about other human survivors whilst Melanie keeps releasing images of a guy she loved before being taken over by the Soul. Really can't wait to find out whether they'll get to meet the guy. Going to continue reading tonite.
