I think taxis are really against me or something. Yesterday, I took a taxi to my client's office. When the taxi driver started to drive off, I suddenly realised that I didn't have cash in my purse. I knew there was a reason why I had initially planned to take the MTR instead of the taxi because I knew that I had no cash on hand. But when my colleague said that I was crazy to be taking the MTR as I had my trunk with me, I just conveniently forgot this fact and got into the taxi. Imagine my embarassment when I had to tell the taxi driver to drop me at the ATM to withdraw money as I had no cash with me. The taxi driver was totally amused and said "It's only around HK20 something, don't you have coins? You can even pay me in RMB". Haha, good thing the taxi driver thought I was from China. Didn't embarass my country. Kakakaka. Anyway, the taxi driver was kind enough to find a HSBC ATM for me (Guess he had no choice, it was either that or he won't get any payment) so all went well in the end. Hopefully I won't be banned from taking taxis in the future. I can imagine the taxi driver must have found me amusing coz he was laughing when I got out from the taxi. Look on the bright side, at least I cheered someone up.
I really want to propose to the HK Govt to install Octopus machines in all taxis. That would be so convenient and then my life won't be so dramatic anymore. Haha.
You are starting to get forgetful dear:P
