Super happy today. It's a national day today so I get a day off from work. Yippee!! One day of lazing about and doing absolutely nothing. Life is just so fun.
I've just came back from a one week holiday back in my home country. Although it has been tiring going out with friends nearly everyday, it was worth every moment being able to catch up with friends and just to be in each other's company. The best part of it all was being able to meet up with my cute little niece, Shannon who was only a week old when I first saw her. I've always had the impression that babies don't look really nice when they are newborn coz they are so tiny and fragile but then my niece changed my thoughts about that. She's really the cutest and most adorable baby I've ever seen. And she smiles often, more so when she hears praises about her. Think my sis is going to have her hands full with this little show-off. All the best to her.
Back in KL, I was busy eating all those yummy Malaysian food. I had wan tan mee, nasi lemak, dried curry noodles, chillie pan mee, vegetable rice that my mom cooked, dried bamboo shoots that my grandma cooked and steamboat. Yummy food that I started to miss since coming back to HK on Saturday. So my housemates and I decided to become chefs and cook nasi lemak yesterday. It was so good, I think we can open a nasi lemak stall in HK soon. But then again, would have to import my aunty's maid to help make the sambal.
But it was a good effort nonetheless (cos even though we used sambal prepared by others, we still need to prepare lotsa other stuff like adding calamari into our sambal and also making chicken curry) and I think the next time would be even better since we now know that we need to put more salt and santan into our nasi to make it more lemak. Ours just smells good but then was a bit tasteless when we ate it. Anyway, it was a pretty good first try at making nasi lemak.
Other than that, I just received my CFA textbooks. There are like sooo many books that I have to read. It's crazy. How can anyone finish reading all those books? Is paper very cheap nowadays? Is that why they are making books so thick? Sighz, things doesn't look good at the moment especially when I just realised I made the wrong investment decision by registering for this course. How then can I ever think of passing a financial analyst exam? And things got worse when I saw the postcards that came with the textbooks. They had quotes like "No time to play anymore", "My fashion sense is off", "Coffee is a food group" and "I have learned to sleep standing up".
Doesn't seem like a good joke to me if those CFA people are trying to be funny. Help me!!! Aargh!!!
Well, not going to think about that. I have more important things to think about tomorrow. Going to start being busy at work. So just hope that everything goes well.
Signing off now...
